Flushing Your DNS Cache

Flushing your DNS on Just Jolly can help resolve certain connectivity issues you may experience while using our social networking service. DNS caching allows your computer to store website IP addresses so that they can be accessed more quickly in the future.


Sometimes the cached information can become outdated or corrupted, leading to issues with accessing certain websites or services.


If you're experiencing issues accessing Just Jolly, it may be helpful to flush your DNS cache, follow the directions below to flush your DNS cache.

Windows

Mac

Windows XP, 2000, and Vista


  1. Click Start.

  2. Click Run. Note: If you do not see the Run command in Vista, type Run in the Search bar.

  3. Type the following command in the Run field: ipconfig /flushdns

  4. Press Enter.


If the command succeeds, the system returns the following message: 'Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.'


Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11


  1. Click Start.

  2. Type cmd in the search field.

  3. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.

  4. Type the following command: ipconfig /flushdns

  5. Press Enter.


If the command succeeds, the system returns the following message: 'Windows IP configuration successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.'

​MacOS 10.10.4 and above


  1. Open the Terminal App:

    1. Press Cmd + Space on your keyboard.

    2. Type Terminal and press Return.

  2. Type the following into the terminal: sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

  3. Press Return.

  4. Type your administrator password and press Return.

  5. Quit Terminal by pressing Cmd + Q on your keyboard.
