Just Jolly Services and HIPAA

The U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is US healthcare law that establishes requirements for the use, disclosure, and safeguarding of electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI) by US health plans, health care clearinghouses, and certain health care providers. Learn more about HIPAA.

Just Jolly services are not specifically designed to comply with HIPAA. As such, we are unable to operate as a Business Associate, subcontractor, or agent of a Covered Entity, as these terms are defined in HIPAA.

Just Jolly does not actively filter or monitor the information or data you store, transmit, or maintain in our services before you upload it to our platform. If your business requires you to be compliant with HIPAA, you are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws governing the privacy and security of ePHI.

Likewise, if you are subject to HIPAA as a Covered Entity or Business Associate, you should not use Just Jolly services in a manner that causes Just Jolly to create, receive, maintain, or transmit ePHI on your behalf.

At Just Jolly, we are always working to update and improve our products, and we value your feedback. If Just Jolly services being HIPAA compliant is something you'd like to see in the future, you can vote for that feature.
